Is This a Stay-Home Day?

I ask this question nearly every morning. It's not that I don't like school, but I'd much rather stay home with Momma and Daddy. We call Saturday and Sundays "stay-home days" although that's rarely what we do. This Saturday was fun, fun, more fun, followed by a little extra fun on the side.

First, we went to August's birthday party at the Skate park. My scooter was so fancy with ribbons, flowers, and pipe cleaners.

I left the party a bit early to go to my Saturday dance class. After dance class we hung out (literally) at one of my favorite parks - Pioneer park. It's built on an old cemetery and is one of the coldest places in San Diego no matter the weather elsewhere in the city.

After the park, we met up with Marissa and her mom to get our tickets to Gator by the Bay for food and Zydeco music. I ate some hush puppies, jambalaya and a bite of a po-boy.

Marissa and I made some silly hats.

Then, we danced to the music.

Until it got too loud and too crowded.

After the festible, I rode a big, red double-decker bus back to the car with Momma and Daddy. I got a little sleepy on the way home until I heard my parents mention dinner. I started chanting, "Shakespeare's! Shakespeare's! Shakespeare's!" And it worked. We stopped at Shakespeare's pub for dinner. By the end of the day we were all a little pooped and crashed on the couch to watch a movie. Tangled!

Stay-home days are the best!
